Of all the shows I saw as a kid, this is one that really stuck with me, mainly for the creepy opening credits.
The story centered around a boy named Matthew who communicated with an alien vortex type thing, who passed on information and made him excel in school which then caused powerful groups, military types as far I can remember, to want to capture Chocky's power.
