On this edition of "They Don't Make Them Like They Used To" I've gone for John Hegley who is a hard man to categorise. Hegley's a comedian, a poet, a writer (his last three books have potatoes in the title), a musician and a songwriter.
He's been going thirty years but only came to my attention in the last few years sadly, when I saw him on the Stewart Lee led "The Alternative Comedy Experience" on Comedy Central where he played this gem which originally appeared on the album "Saint and Blurry" which is a mix of songs and poetry.
